Itanagar-Banderdewa four-lane project on track
MoRTH sanctions fund for Chandranagar-Papu Hapa road stretch

ITANAGAR, Dec 2: After a long and arduous wait, the Union Ministry of Road, Transport and Highway (MoRTH) has finally sanctioned first phase of the much delayed Itanagar-Banderdewa 4-lane project covering the road stretch between Chandranagar and Papu Hapa (Hill). The sanctioned letter dated Nov 30 has been issued to PWD Commissioner, GoAP, by under secretary, MoRTH. For the first phase of road works, Rs 341.83 crore has been sanctioned, according to official statement of MoRTH which is available with this Daily.
The official sanctioning of 4-lane project has come as huge relief to the capital dwellers. The construction of the said stretch of road is expected to ease traffic congestion in areas like Ganga, Bank Tinali and Papu Hapa which witness massive traffic jam.
This project was in the offing since last many years but never saw the light of the day. Successive governments have been pushing hard for the early sanctioning of the said project but it continued to get delayed for various reasons. Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju have been requesting MoRTH to expedite the process.
Expressing happiness over sanctioning of project, Chief Engineer, PWD Highway Er Bora Ete informed that they will put it up for tendering process as soon as possible. Ete who played a crucial role in getting the project sanctioned also added that clearing the road from all form of encroachment will be the next big target.
In another major development, the Union Ministry of Road, Transport and Highway have also sanctioned Rs 11.03 crore for maintenance of Potin-Ziro road.
It is worth mentioning that Union Minister of State for Road, Transport and Highway Mansukh Mandaviya during his visit to Ziro in September this year had announced the said fund. However his senior colleague Nitin Gadkari initially expressed reluctant to fund the project but later agreed after the intervention of MoS Home Kiren Rijiju.
The condition of Potin-Ziro road is in shambles and has been immensely troubling the motorists. The deplorable condition of said road has been making life miserable for people of Lower Subansiri, Kra Daadi, Upper Subansiri and Kurung Kumey. The Potin-Ziro road is considered to be the lifeline for the people of these four districts. Therefore there will be huge pressure on PWD highway to ensure that fund is not misused.
Bailey Bridge over Lohit river launched
LOHIT, Dec 2: The 48 BRTF (P) Udayak/ Border Roads Organization (BRO) had launched a 170ft long Bailey Bridge over Lohit river on Meshai-Dichu road in Anjaw district and made it operational on Nov 23 last.
Besides providing connectivity which was presently restricted to a foot suspension bridge, the bridge will give renewed impetus to administrative and logistic support to the Army and local population by facilitating movement of traffic and development of ongoing road infrastructure work on the eastern bank of river.
Illegal structures demolished at Seppa
SEPPA, Dec 2: East Kameng district administration with the help of police personnel today carried out an eviction drive at Seppa. During the drive, five structures, permanent and semi-permanent, constructed illegally by public and a serving head of the office, were demolished at various places of the township.
The team led by DC in-charge Tamuna Messar was comprised of CO (Estate) Takam Nicholas, CO Tashi W Thongdok, SK Taba Torum and other officials of the Land Management Department.
Similar kind of eviction-cum-demolition drives would be conducted in all the colonies and settlements of Seppa in phase manner to do away with the illegal encroachments. (DIPRO)
‘Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world’: Felix
PASIGHAT, Dec 2: "Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world," stated the Parliamentary Secretary, Education, Bamang Felix while addressing at the consultative meeting with the teaching community here at the Horticulture College auditorium conference hall today. The meeting was convened to take stock of the functioning of education department and elicit opinion and suggestions to improve education scenario of the state.
Emphasising the need of maintaining learning environment in schools, Felix observed that teachers being the key persons working at ground level can offer best suggestion to the policy makers for framing best policies for improvement of education scenario. He also called for implementing the policies and programs of the government by all the stakeholders and suggested them to come up to expectation of the public.
The PS also said that the present government prefers rationalization of transfer and posting of all categories of teachers and no political interference would be entertained.
Advising the teaching community to impart quality education, he said students must be taught how to think about their goal in life and teachers should also put all-out efforts to make the state vibrant and advanced. He also asked the SSA teachers to give priority in their profession to avoid any strict action against them. Expressing his dismay, Felix informed that "No detention policy under RTA" has ruining the career of the children.
Taking serious note of the policy, Felix informed, Chief Minister and Education Minister have convened a series of meetings at various level and also taken up the matter with the union HRD ministry.
The PS further informed that government has provided adequate funds for construction of boys' hostel of JNC, Sainik School at Niglok, maintenance of school buildings etc. Decentralization of school uniforms and enhancement of pay of RMA teachers etc were praiseworthy initiative of the department, he claimed.
Local MLA Kaling Moyong asked the Parliamentary secretary to provide funds for external electrification and water supply to Sikshak Sadan and DDSE office. He expressed concern over the uncompleted school auditorium and urged to make an inquiry in this regard. Moyong advised the teachers to change the teaching methodology for better understanding and progressive career of the students.
Director of Elementary Education T. Gao, DDSE J. Yirang and ATA (ES) President Tabung Ering also spoke on the occasion.

Karmapa winds up state visit
BOMDILA, Dec 2: The two-day visit of His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa to the district ended with preaching and long life empowerment on Friday at Kalaktang - the land of Khandro Drowa Zangmo.
Earlier in the morning, the Karmapa preached and gave his blessings to the Tibetans at Gyuto Monastery Tenzingang before leaving for Kalaktang.
The day before, after the teachings on Noble truths of Buddhism at Buddha stadium Bomdila, the Karmapa visited the Rupa stupa (Chorten) and Gompa, Chillipam Gompa, Jigaon and the Shergaon Gompas en-route to Tenzingang from Bomdila.
Thousands of devotees including hundreds from the neighboring Himalayan country Bhutan today thronged the Kalaktang general ground and paid their reverence.

Pario announces development fund at Palin
PALIN, Dec 2: PHED, WS and DM Minister Takam Pario announced fund to the tune of Rs 1 lakh each to three numbers of water tank at Tabyang, Kusuk and Langbia Gram Segments. He made this announcement while addressing local people of Nangbia village at under-construction Government Model Degree College, Palin on Friday.
To solve the problem of water supply at the college campus, more funds to the tune of Rs 50 lakhs and further Rs 50 lakhs for electricity connection to the campus was also announced. He also promised to continue to put his effort towards people friendly schemes and development plans.
Speaking to the minister, Nangbia Dugu put forth the grievances of the local people and, also representing the land donors of the college, appraised of the degrading condition of the college building, construction of which has already been completed as the first phase of construction within an amount of Rs 2 crores.
"However due to non-functioning of the college and lack of group C and D staffs to take care of the buildings, the college premises and the buildings are being destroyed by unknown people," he said.
Dugu further appraised of the lack of water supply not just at the college premises but also at the village, and that the villagers were themselves managing the water supply in the village through local means.
ASM, Langbia Gram Panchayat Tassar Karmo reflected similar problems of the villagers.
Replying to the grievances of the public, Minister Pario reiterated that the Central government is yet to sanction fund. "Whatever funds were sanctioned, it has already been provided to the executing departments," he informed.
He reminded people that development cannot take place without the active and honest involvement of all the stakeholders without any kind of discrimination amongst them.
He further appealed to the public not to come down to Itanagar with delegations but instead invite him to the villages so that he can see the problems hands on.
The day-long program ended with a volleyball match between Minister and the Nangbia Village. (DIPRO)
Nabam Atum conferred Indigenous Faith Ratna Award
ITANAGAR, Dec 2: The former President of Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) Nabam Atum has been conferred with prestigious IFCSAP Ratna Award on the occasion of Indigenous Faith Day celebration at Nirjuli on Thursday. Atum has received the Award from Home Minister Kumar Waii. This Ratna Award carries one lakh cash along with a trophy and a citation. It is being conferred every after three years to a person only. The first recipient of this Ratna Award is Dr.Tai Nyori who is founder president of IFCSAP.
While dedicating the Award to IFCSAP executives members and others who have been constantly working for the promotion of indigenous faith, Atum said "without their support and cooperation preservation of indigenous faith would have not been successful. It is the beginning on my part and hundred miles more yet to go."
Atum had also been awarded with ONE India Award on 4th June, 2012 in Mumbai for his meritorious services to the Nation. Nabam Atum had served as President of Arunachal Vikash Parishad from 1997 to 2011 and President of IFCSAP from 2007 to 2010. He is one of the founder members of Nyishi Neder Namlo which was founded in 2001.
The former IFCSAP President Taba Hare, the Sant Eshwar Award winner, was also felicitated on the occasion by IFCSAP.
In his address, Kumar Waii, explained in details about the importance of indigenous faith system. He said that nature God like Sun and Moon are living example and without Sun no living being would possible on this earth. He appealed the followers of Indigenous faith to preserve and promote it.
Social activist from Kokrajhar, Assam, Pratiba Bramha, said that indigenous faith of Bodo has lots of similarities with the indigenous faith being followed in the state. She exhorted the people to love nature and save earth from global warming.
The IFCSAP President Ligu Tacho, Vice President Lod Kojing, Gene.Secy. Bai Taba, former President, IFCSAP Taba Hare also spoke on the occasion.
Thousands of indigenous faith believers from various tribes of Arunachal Pradesh joined the grand celebration. Other dignitaries who attended the celebration include UD Minister Nabam Rebia.
Earlier, the celebration begun with vehicle rally from R K Mission Helipad, Ganga and culminated at Nyokum Niya Ground, Nirjuli.
State BJYM resolves to involve more youths in nation building
ITANAGAR, Dec 2: Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Arunachal Pradesh unit will have to play a very active role in propagating and spreading the ideologies and policies of the BJP all over the state, said BJYM state president Taring Tiri. He was addressing at the first State executive meeting of BJYM being organized at Hill top Community here today. He said BJYM cadres will reach out to more and more youth of the state and involve them in nation building under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Former BJYM President and former MLA Tani Loffa, while speaking on the occasion shared his experience in BJYM. He opined that BJYM gives tremendous scope for youth to hone their organisational skills and political acumen.
In his address, BJP state unit general secretary B R Waghe said that youth are the strength of the organisation and contributions of BJYM in making BJP strong in Arunachal Pradesh is crucial.
While speaking on the role of media in a political organisation, Nalong Mize, State Media Secretary, BJP state Unit shared that it is very important to engage the media fraternity as it is through the media ideologies, values, principles, policies and programmes are communicated to the masses which in turn help in generating positive public opinion for the party.
BJP MLA Dr. Mohesh Chai in his address said the BJYM has a very important role to play in spreading the programme and policies of the Central Govt to every parts of the state. He expressed that an organisation can be robust only if the youth brigade of the organisation is vibrant. In the same vein, he appealed to all the delegates that they must imbibe the vision and values of the founding figure of BJP such as Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay.

Two resolutions for Shima Shiksa Abhiyan and Awarenes on various scheme & policies of Modi-led NDA government-were passed in the meeting. About 300 delegates from different parts of the state are participating in the two-days BJYM executive meeting.
World AIDS Day observed
ITANAGAR, Dec 2: The district AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Tezu in co-ordination with 48 BRTF (GREF) Demwe, Tezu observed World AIDS Day at Demwe on Dec 1 last.
Speaking on the occasion, 48 BRTF(GREF) Demwe, Tezu Commandant, Col. C Rajashekar lauded the District Health Society and DAPCU for conducting such awareness-cum-IEC activities with 48 BRTF during World AIDS Day specially focusing on GREF personnel and laborers.
He advised his staff to attend such awareness programme and spread the message to their family, friends and relatives.
While citing this year's World AIDS Day theme 'Hands Up For HIV Prevention', DAPCU District Programme Officer incharge, Ali Taloh highlighted the scenario of HIV positives of the world as a whole and India in context to Arunachal Pradesh.
48 BRTF Capt. Dr. Devesh Pandey in his address explained about the mode of transmission of HIV/AIDS and its prevention. He highlighted the symptoms of HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infection (OI) and focused on the services available at General Hospital, Tezu. He further discussed in brief about the uses and advantages of condom and advised the participants for condom promotion.
District Medical Officer, Tezu incharge, Dr. J S Bhowmick asked the GREF personnel not to discriminate the people living with HIV/AIDS as they are facing lots of problems and challenges in the society. He advised the participants to avoid drug abuse especially, among the youths and to remain faithful to one's sexual partner. He also advised all the participants to take advantage of Mobile ICTC Van for voluntary Counseling and testing of HIV during World AIDS Day.
Counselor STI, Talling Gaduk spoke on free service availability for general clients and pregnant women for testing of HIV/AIDS/STI/RTI and Link ART centre for HIV/AIDS Positive people at general hospital, Tezu. He also focused on confidentiality maintained by counselors at all service centre.
At Papum Pare, a programme was organized by the District Health Society, Yupia at Jawahar Navodiya Vidyalaya, Doimukh to mark the Day.
Addressing the students on the occasion, Yupia, District Medical Officer, Dr. Tasso Kampu spoke about the preventive aspect of HIV/AIDS and advised the children to know more about HIV/AIDS, ways it spreads and measures to control the disease. She also asked them to maintain discipline as hard work and discipline is the only mantra for success in one's life.
Also present on the occasion as resource person was District Reproductive & Child Health Officer (DRCHO), Yupia, Dr. Jomnya Ado who gave the present scenario of AIDS in our state and country as a whole.
An extempore speech competition was also organized amongst the students of JNV school Doimukh on the occasion.
The programme was also attended by District Surveillance Officer, Yupia, Dr. RR Ronya, DANO, Dr. Tania Raju, DVBDCPO, Dr. Tana Aruna, Doimukh, ASM, Tao Podomi and GPC and GP of Amba, Doimukh.
In view of the increasing incidence of HIV positive cases among the adolescents and young people, intensive observance of World AIDS Day-2016 was made at Govt. Sec. School, Chimpu.
Addressing the gathering of the students, teachers and SMC members, the school headmaster Tabom Koyu emphasized on the need for developing adequate awareness and specific life skills among the students for a safe, healthy and productive life in future.
To mark the occasion, a speech competition on 'HIV & AIDS' was conducted among the students of classes IX and X. A quiz competition on the topic 'Know AIDS, No AIDS' was also conducted among the students for which cash prizes were awarded to the winners.
The programme was organised by the Population Education Cell of SCERT as part of its extension activities in schools under the guidance and resource support of NCERT, New Delhi.
Indigenous Faith Day celebrated
ITANAGAR, Dec 2: The Indigenous Faith Day was celebrated at General Ground, Yingkiong on Thursday last with representatives from various tribes of different faith taking part in it.
Speaking on the occasion, Upper Siang DC, Remo Kamki said that the motto of celebrating Indigenous Faith Day is to bring all together in one umbrella and maintain unity between all the tribes of different faith in the state for a peaceful society. He also urged the followers of different religion to pledge and affirm to work together and maintain unity for all round development.
ZPM Bading Teng in his address suggested that the sacrifices of domestic animals in the name of faith should be abandoned.
Arunachal Vikas Parishad District Unit President, T Pangkam and IFCSAP Secretary, T Taron also spoke on the occasion.
At Deomali, the Day was celebrated by people along with members of AVP and Arun Jyoti besides, Rangfraa devotees. In his address, Deomali Block ZPM, Ngelang Songthing highlighted the importance of Indigenous faith and culture and urged all to preserve it.
At Koloriang, people from all walks of life enthusiastically participated in the celebration with display of various cultural items with religious fervor and traditional gaiety.
Greeting people on the occasion, MLA-cum-Parliamentary Secretary for Home, Pani Taram, emphasized on the need for preservation of age old tradition and customs. Expressing concern over the gradual loss of local dialects, Taram exhorted local dedicated NGOs for taking up steps to teach local dialects to children of urban dwellers during vacation and assured to provide necessary funds.
Kurung-Kumey DC, Kangki Darang stressed on the need for becoming good believers no matter what religion one professes. He said that the ultimate goal of the teachings of all religion in the world is for maintaining peace and harmony in the society.

DC & ITBP officials inspect short firing range
YUPIA, Dec 2: Papum Pare DC Tai Kaye along with SDO Kimin, J Padung, Deputy Commandant ITBP Sunil Kamal, Assistant Commandants Hirapum, KC Meena, Ayush Deepak, Abhisek Choudhury, ITBP inspected short firing range within the RTC Kimin, ITBP Hq on Friday.
Observing that short firing range site within the ITBP notified campus is sufficient and that no further land acquisition is required, the ITBP authority submitted map of the area for formal acquisition and urged upon the district administration to notify the land immediately. (DIPRO)
Taga visits Agri, Horti and Pig Farm at Jomlo
AALO, Dec 2: Industries, Textile and Handicraft and Cooperation Minister Tamiyo Taga visited Govt. Agriculture Seed Farm, Horticulture Farm and Pig breeding farm at Jomlo under Siang district on Thursday and interacted with the officers on progress of the farm.
The minister exhorted the officers in-charge posted at Agriculture, Horticulture and veterinary Farms to do all possible measures to make it a model farm. He was accompanied by DHO Siang, ST Morcha president and treasurer of the state. (DIPRO)
Day 2 of Army Recruitment Rally

Awareness meet on Mission Suraksha held
TEZU Dec 2: A meeting cum awareness programme on Mission Suraksha to combat the issues of unimmunized and drop out children in Lohit district was conducted under the aegis of district administration in Amik Ringiya Hall Tezu on Friday. Addressing the gathering, DC Danish Ashraf said that immunization was a must in today's world to ensure children safety from many life threatening diseases.
Expressing disappointment over the overall performance of the district, Ashraf urged the attending gaon burahs and ASHA workers of Tezu circle to coordinate and intensify the execution so that no child from age 0-5 years missed are left out. He also took stock of the data collection drive for unimmunized and drop out children and exhorted everyone present to complete it within the stipulated time.
Stressing on the need for providing immunization and basic level education to children, Nodal officer for Mission Suraksha CO Une Pertin said that timely intervention from concerned participants would go a long way in moulding their future. The data collected will be later tallied with the official census to cover children who have been missed out, she informed.
She also allayed the fears of parents and villagers who strayed away from immunization and explained that most of them were based on misinformation and misconceptions. Opining that "action now was better than problems later", Pertin exhorted the gaon burahs and ASHA workers to diligently work towards completing the data collection.
An action plan was later given by DMO S Chai on immunization of children. Chai briefed the attendees on how immunization works and the procedures one must maintain to ensure that its effects were lifelong. She also explained the importance of taking de-worming medicines in time.
Later, BRCC D Choudhary elucidated the schemes government provided for students who dropped out for various reasons. He explained that Non Residential Bridge Course and Residential Bridge Course were specially moulded to cater to both out of school and dropped out students. A question and answer session was later held to clarify doubts and queries from gaon burahs and ASHA workers.
Sensitisation prog on e-banking facilities held
ZIRO, Dec 2: A meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Lower Subansiri, Superintendent of Police, Tage Habung at his office chambers here on Friday, with all the bankers, administration officers and representatives of market welfare association to familiarize them with E-wallet and E-Banking applications of the banking sector.
Habung in his address said that the shortage of currency notes has been felt everywhere in the wake of demonetization, therefore, using e-payments for day to day transactions will definitely reduce the long queues in the banks and ATMs.
Bank officials also explained about the working of banking apps and appealed to the Bazaar committee members to sensitize the traders to adopt ebanking methods.
It was also decided in the meeting to conduct awareness programs in two phases for the traders and public. (DIPRO)
Power delegated to Deputy Speaker
ITANAGAR, Dec 2: Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker T N Thongdok has delegated power to Deputy Speaker to look after the day to day routine works of Legislative Assembly secretariat for the period from December 8 next till his return from foreign tour.
PPA writes to DC
ITANAGAR, Dec 2: The People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) on Friday urged the Kurung Kumey District Deputy Commissioner not to take any action against two PPA ZPMs on the basis of the letter written by Zilla Parishad member secretary on Nov 30. It is said that the member secretary had written to DC citing the disciplinary action as sought by PPA Party whip against them (two ZPMs) for not abiding the party whip issued in connection with No Confidence Motion held on Nov 29.
Claiming that it had already written letter on Nov 28 for non-application of party whip, the PPA said that letter of disqualification issued against the two ZMPs by the party whip is very irrelevant and treated as null and void.
Labourers yet to get Board benefits: AAPGDLU US
ITANAGAR, Dec 2: The All Arunachal Pradesh Government Departmental Labour Union (AAPGDLU), Upper Subansiri unit has said that the labourers in the district are yet to avail Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) benefits.
In its representation to the labour commissioner cum member secretary APB&OCWWB, it claimed that the registration officer is yet to submit their filled in application for the benefits entitled for them in the head office for its further implementation.
Committee against CD block HQ shift
ITANAGAR, Dec 2: The Sawa Socio, Economic and Infrastructure Development Committee (SSEIDC) has complained against establishment of Sawa CD block headquarter at Sreemyoriang claiming it to be unlawful decision of Sawa ZPM. It has written to the secretary, RD and local MLA cum Parliamentary secretary textile and handicrafts for cancellation of the proposal and reconsider Sawa as it's headquarter.
The committee claims that the establishment of the CD HQ at Sreemyoriang instead of Sawa is depriving people of Sawa circle.
Sreemyoriang, situated 16 kms away from Sawa, do not have any government infrastructure, it reasoned.
Awareness prog on PMKSY conducted
ITANAGAR, Dec 2: In all, 36 trainees attended a two-day long awareness programme on 'Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana-cum-farmers training organized by KVK, Lohit Programme Coordinator incharge, Dr. Debasis Sasmal at Alubari village in Namsai on Friday.
During the programme which was sponsored by ATMA, Namsai under ICAR-NRC on Yak, Subject Matter Specialists, Dr. B. K. D. Borah and Dr. S Kumar imparted training on poultry farming and its disease management. They also answered to the queries raised by the trainees about goat and cattle rearing.
The trainees were also imparted training on rabi crop cultivation. A demonstration on seed treatment of ginger was also held.
Fungicide, insecticide, plant hormones and sprayer machines were also provided.
NEFTU conducts seminar on social science
AALO, Dec 2: North East Technical University Faculty of Arts organized a one-day departmental Seminar on 'social science in the era of scientific development: with special reference to Arunachal Pradesh' recently.
The seminar was conducted in order to impart scientific methods and modern techniques and it was attended by more than 70 students with nine presentations from teaching faculties and students based on diverse topics.
Speaking during its inaugural session, ADC Nyiken Lollen talked on how discipline is necessary for a student to succeed. "All must have dream with vision in future," he urged.

Take more steps
It's almost a month since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the banning of Rs 500 and 1000 notes and termed the move as his biggest step in the fight against black money. Even though people of India are facing lot of problem due to it, everyone is supporting the move with the hope that it will help country in long run. It was expected that move will help to unearth black money, stop terror funding and put an end to counterfeit of currency. Though its early stage, but some of the recent events raises serious concern. People are starting to ask whether sacrifice of ordinary citizen will pay off in the long run.
A govt. officials and contractors have been caught with huge amount of cash in new
denomination at Bengaluru. Also the report of people being caught with fake 2000
note has emerged and terrorist are continuously inflicting damage in J & K. These
incidents do worries the citizens who are making supreme sacrifice for the nation.
While poor are struggling and making beeline in banks to withdraw their hard earned
money, some people are getting easy access to banks and converting their black money
into white without much trouble. Even as ordinary citizens are struggling to withdraw
few thousand rupees, few people are amassing cash amounting to crores in new notes.
This needs to be properly investigated. Finance Minister Arun Jaitely did gave some
hint while announcing that twenty seven bank officials involved in carrying out irregular
transactions and violating RBI's instructions have been suspended post demonetisation.

Please clarify
Dear Editor,
Through your esteemed I would like to highlight the present condition of transportation services in Koyu circle under East Siang District. Koyu circle consists of about 11villages and is administered by an EAC headquarter. Earlier APST service was going on well but now it is different. On enquiring with APST authority, I was surprised to know that present APST bus service is running under rental basis which I never heard before.
I wonder how and why it is so. Moreover, the service is very irregular which affects
the people of my area. The bus is also in poor condition. As no other service is
available in the Pasighat-
We urgently require a good condition bus that too under the state government. On behalf of my people I want to know the reason for APST running bus on rental basis. Is it possible everywhere or it’s happening only in Pasighat to Koyu route and whether it is permissible under law? I hope the authorities will clarify our doubts.

Improve BSNL service
Dear Editor,
Through your esteemed daily I would like to draw the kind attention of District Administration and BSNL authorities regarding the poor mobile service in Palin town under Kra Daadi district. We have been suffering a lot due to poor BSNL network.
In fact, the service and network provided to us is very unsatisfactory and irregular. I would like to mention that most of the time BSNL network remains unavailable especially during night time. Also, the 2G facility provided by them is unfit for the populated and developing town like Palin.
Majority of people in Palin town are still using BSNL sim card but the pathetic service offered by them is harassing the customers. The BSNL should provide proper service to the people of Palin town and if not possible they should better pack off and leave.
